Varying from the deep expressionism to cheerful
symbolism the satirical drawings of young author
Jasminko Mulaomerovic are sign of strong tension
of spirit in a high state
of humour. Although without a joke or a word of
comment Jasminko's drawings are anecdotes by
itself, with very concise and clear conclusions.
The arrow of his pen is
the most frequently involved with Man and
Nature, i.e. with stupidity of man and ecology.
These two objects are embraced together, either
as a green leaf implantedin lungs of human anatomy; as an ecological
tear, or as a lost mountain path, where confused
person is looking for a right sign to lead him
out of a deep forest.

In Jasminko's drawings the most unusual transformations
take place. Although they might seem unusual for common
observer, they are expected and logical for the cognize
of satirical vicissitude. The cutting of the
tree and life after death of its stump seems somewhat
shocking. In spite of the fact that biologically stump
has the destiny of yelling, Jasminko's stump is fighting
for self-preservation and after devastation it starts a
new life. Under the ground in truth, but more exuberant
and stronger than before. The author is proving with
this symbolism that a tree is like a man. Especially in
contemporary world.
Special
chapter of his opus is a deep and impressing expressionism in the
technique of vinyl engravings,
where terrified eye in the rear mirror is watching the horror that
happens behind him. Aiming with his excelled technique and simple
drawing in the pure essence of Panic that stays behind the viewer, the
author is com prized in top creators of satirical graphics as a form of
caricature creations.
Although the majority of his caricatures are made in modern technique
which is very often and acceptable among the authors of younger
generation, the caricature of Jasminko Mulaomerovic exhales special
originality which gives unique seal to his works.
That is
a reason why each page of this book should be turned over many times and
each creation analyzed, because, even though the messages seem clear at
first sight, they are much deeper and psychologically cultivated than an
average reader and observer can percept. That’s why this book is for
refined observer which makes it more valuable.
